It’s Not All Mary Poppins

What’s My Line?

Here’s a puzzle for you. Small boy, age two and a half, takes a throw cushion and tosses to the hardwood floor. Places toddler-size chair upon the cushion. Holds onto the back of the chair, and pushes the chair-on-cushion with great vigour all over the living room. What is he doing?

For the literal-minded (or just plain smart-asses) among you: No, he is not pushing a chair-on-cushion around the living room. Though one might think this a reasonable enough guess.

Hint: the pushing was accompanied by motor noises.

Hint 2: think winter, think sports.

Hint 3: Remember this is a Canadian two-and-a-half year old!

Conundrum

My neighbour found a card in his mailbox, from the courier company, telling him “Because your road is closed, we were unable to deliver your parcel”.
