  1. What you need to do now, is have a long conversation with said dad, in an enclosed space. You could explain the merits of how bugs are transferred in the hope that HE GETS INFECTED 🙂

Isn’t it strange, when adults feel sick, its mainly over the weekend when you don’t need to be at work.

    Me too I think.

  3. Oh I’m so so sorry. And YES, you should absolutely breathe on that stupid dad. Maybe even kiss him full on the mouth, and THEN say, Oh, by the way . . .

It would serve him right . . .

  8. I’d be more inclined to slip a few laxatives into his coffee.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  9. Oh, no.

Raise his rates to cover both your lost income and your pain and suffering. Some people deserve to pay stupidity tax.

  10. Icky!

Poor little Soph has the most recent stomach bug going around. This makes twice in, what, three weeks?

The child is NEVER sick, minus these times.

I have no time to be sick. There is no room on my schedule for me to be sick.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  12. Perhaps it’s no accident that I am prompted to type “unjnhh” for word verification.

    Get better soon.

  13. Si, Susan, Lory, Haley: Of all your vengeances, I prefer Haley’s. Right now I’d as soon bite him as kiss him, and neither would be good for my health, since it turns out HE was sick all week, too, and just kept going to work – plus he sent his teenage daughter to school despite her puking in the night. Seems he’s on a one-man crusade to infect the entire city…

Granny, m&co, crayonz, Andie: Thanks. I’m feeling quite a bit better now. I’ve even eaten a few crackers and they seem to be staying put. Wa-hoo!

MsS: His child ends his tenure with me at the end of June. Counting the days, counting the days. If I could think of a way to fine him, be sure I would. Perhaps I should just let all the other parents know, and leave it to them… [evil cackle]

Candace: Poor Sophie! I hope she shakes it off and returns to her usual good health asap. Isn’t it funny how so often you DON’T get sick until you have a break? (Weekends and holidays. It’s like then you slow down enough to let it happen..)

Kittenpie: I, too, have sick days. Given that only two families had children well enough to come, I only have to cancel on those two. But cancel I did, and spent most of today sipping water while lying on the couch.

Snaars: Thanks. It seems to be a short, sharp virus. A day off, fourteen hours sleep, and two days sans food seems to have done the trick. Tomorrow I’ll be all better, I’m sure.

  15. Arrrrrrghhh!!! Now that new daddy MUST see what his little chemistry test has done to everyone… He better get his mind clear about that. Poor Mary…

  16. Lory: Thanks! I love it! And so apropos! Baby Blues are one of my favourites, right up there with For Better or For Worse.

jw: Me, too. Don’t you just love the Google “image” search?? Lots of good stuff out there!

QueenBee: He’s not new. He’s been with me for 8 months. I doubt very much he gets it – but he will after I’ve spoken to him. Which I will: give it to him in simple, direct words.

  19. So sorry. I have been achingly sick since Tuesday, so I’ve only just realised that you’ve been sick. Hope you’re better now. I’m not and I’m staying home from work again tomorrow as well.
