Remember When?
I figure these things would last maybe forty minutes out front today.
(The snow piles, not the kids. Kids in snowsuits would last even less!)
It hit 44C yesterday (110F). Phew.

Thanks I needed that I have a 7 foot floor to ceiling window beside me and to save energy the Government has turned down the AC.
Oh for some of that snow right now! It’s hot here, too – almost 100 – I have no a/c and I’m 37 weeks pregnant. Not a happy girl. At all.

What’s AC? 😉 We don’t have that over here:-( Britain hit it’s hottest ever recorded tempreture yeterday (34′ I think). And today was hotter. And tomorrow is expected to be hotter again.

Snow sounds great right now. We’re teaching dance classes in crazy California heat.
Mary – I checked with a couple of friends, using both IE and Firefox, and they’ve been able to see my pictures. I’m not sure what the problem is – I’m sorry you can’t see the pix! 😦
Mmmmmmmmmm…snow. I was thinking of hitting the pool with the kids later, but maybe not so much now. It feels like 98 F here today.

Oh, snow! Beautiful, beautiful snow! Today Jordan and I walked out to check the mail and I think our flip flops began melting as soon as we hit the sidewalk…no, I’m serious here!!!!

I NEVER thought I’d say this but I could use some snow! In the meantime, we’re hanging out at the pool!
Bill: Put a big flag in the window. Patriotic, and shade.
Julia: My youngest was born in the middle of July. There was a heat wave a week or so before she was born. No AC, either, and we didn’t even have a fan. We got one (a fan) the day I broke down in tears and begged for one… No fun.
JM: Perfect summer temperatures for me are in the 22 – 26 range. 27 to 30 is getting nasty, and over thirty? Yuk! This is the first year in my life my home has had air conditioning, just a window unit in one room, and, though we limits its use, I am delighted to have it.
LadyM: No AC in the dance studios? Urgh. I can’t imagine. Or perhaps the AC simply is adequate in the face of that heat!
Candace: It’s strange. I looked at those pictures in Feb, and I saw COLD. I look at those pictures now, and I see snow, yes, but I see SUNSHINE, and it doesn’t look so cold – even though I know better!
Kristen: It was for a couple of weeks. The heat has finally broken (praise be!) and now we’re getting 17 to 19 at night, and highs of 25 or 26 in the day. SOooooo much better! (Which would be 62 – 66, and 77 – 80, respectively.)
Jennifer: I believe it. Our street was just resurfaced, and the HEAT off that black asphalt is incredible. I was out there in my bare feet yesterday – mistake!
Granny: For a moment! Now our heat has broken, and the temperatures are back to bearable. We may well get up there again before the summer is over, but we don’t stay there all summer long.
Lorykc: I’m taking the tots to the beach today! Lovely, lovely water.
Yikes, 110 in your neck of the woods, crazy I tell you.
