It’s Not All Mary Poppins

And they’re off!

book bingeI have begun. I hope you have, too! Currently I’ve dipped into the following, trying to decide which will be first:
.
.
.
.

Larry’s Party (Carol Shields)
The Hatbox Letters (Beth Powning)
A Bad Woman Feeling Good (Buzzy Jackson)
and
Seeing Voices (Oliver Sacks)

The last two are non-fiction. Since I don’t read a non-fiction cover to cover in one or two long sittings, I will probably read them concurrently with a fiction book.

So… Larry’s Party and Seeing Voices! I’m off!

  1. *snap* Read Larry’s Party…I read it (years ago) and I recall it’s a “one sitting” read.

It will be interesting to see at the end of the month how much (if any) overlap there is with titles.

  2. I do the same thing with non-fiction and fiction–I have to have a novel going while reading non-fiction. I’m looking forward to getting some good recommendations, too.

One question: are you going to be mentioning the books as you start them, or are you waiting to post them all at the end of the month?

  3. I’m fascinated by Oliver Sacks’ case stories. Have you read The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat?
