It’s Not All Mary Poppins

Happy 100th Birthday!

To… my bra. Well, not my bra. Despite how oooolld I may feel some days, it’s not any particular bra that I own, just The Bra.

  2. God bless the person who invented the bra! The girls would be a lot droopier without one.

  3. i own one of those! the corset, i mean, not the bra. well, i mean, i own many bras, but i only own one corset. that’s what happens when you perform in victorian costuming, i guess – you own victorian undergarments. 😉

i bet lady m has at least one, too…

  5. Mama’s Moon: Happy Bra Day! Rotten as they are to shop for, I do love ’em.

BookMama: Droopier, and totally out of alignment. I’d be an embarrassment to myself…

Lara, Kittenpie: I doubt very much you have an hourglass corset like the one picture – with whalebone stays, laces, and hauling your waist down to a breath-taking 15 inches.

I suspect the corsets in your closets are a pretty – and comfortable – variation of a bra.

  6. Mary – nope, pretty tight with stays and laces, but only as tight as you draw it.
