“Hey, lookit what I can do! Gramma, lookit — ” Emily stops, and her face crinkles into a delighted grin. “Hey, Mary, I called you Gramma!!”

  2. Don’t feel too bad – that used to happen to me on my first job out of college at a child care center when I was a much, much younger lass than I am now! Also, “Daddy,” too. It tended to be whomever did a lot of their care outside the center, I think.

  6. After a day with Nana, my three year old son will call both my husband and I Nana… then correct himself.

    I feel like saying…. but I BIRTHED YOU!! But then he wouldn’t understand anyway 🙂
