If you arrange to come visit a prospective daycare, and discover you won’t be able to make it after all, it would be polite to phone and let the provider know that.

‘Course, my house is now cleaner than it’s been in a week…

    I feel your pain. I hauled three kids to a specialist’s office yesterday, paid for parking, doled out snacks and entertainment for everyone – and then found out the doctor had cancelled all appointments for the day, with no notice. Ugh.

    Nope. The first red flag was when they asked over the phone if my closing time was negotiable. And now they skip an appointment without notice. I think I see a pattern of poor time management here, which would make them truly exasperating clients.

    And that doctor? I bet he/she has a fee for people who don’t show up with adequate notice. Too bad you can’t charge him/her the same fee for wasting half your day! How shamelessly unprofessional.
