It’s Not All Mary Poppins

Coat of paint, changed my mind

I know I said I was going to get rid of it. I cited the crowding and the claustrophobia.

It was also, let’s face it, pretty ugly…

But the kids love it so much.

And given how cold it is out there, we’re spending a lot more time indoors these days.

So I figured maybe a remodel was in order.

Instead of a large, fun, but rather ugly box, we could have a large, fun, and ADORABLE box.

A coat of acrylic/tempera paint…

some glittery foamy stickers…

a sherbet-striped fleece blanket, a pillow, and a couple of dollies…

Yeah. I think I can deal with this for a while longer. 🙂

  2. After all, it’s harder to feel crowded by loveliness, while ugliness does tend to confine.

I always wanted a box like that as a kid, and my mother was always like HELL NO.

  3. Do you know that bathtubs come in bathtub shaped boxes? They make great cars, truck fire engines etc. Just saying.
