Keeping ourselves busy
A craft featured a while back on One Pretty Thing, and a tremendous hit with the daycare! Pretty, aren’t they?
Jazz and Grace can manage to match colours. Poppy and Daniel find the mere squeezing of the clothes pegs a sufficient challenge. (First you have to squeeze the right end, then open over the card, then let go at the right moment. It’s trickier than you might think!)
🙂
This is so going into my “Thing to Make For Your Classroom for No Money” workshop. Credit will be given.
It’s fun, and challenging in different ways to different ages, so it can be used by several groups of kids. To make them easier to work with and to add durability, I mounted the full paint chips on lightweight cardboard. Word to the wise: Get two of each paint chip, one to stay intact, mounted on cardboard, and one to be cut up and glued to the clothes pegs. I only got one the first time, and ended up making a second trip to the store.
What a good idea. I’d have loved that when I was little.
i love this idea and I just happen to have a lot of paint chips laying around.
