Quick! Where are you, right now?
If you’re reading this, you’re probably female. (Most of my readers appear to be.)
You’re probably reading this on a laptop (or a tablet).
And, therefore, you’re PROBABLY IN BED!!! (Go, read. It won’t take long. Then come back and take my poll!!)
Are you back now? Am I right? I bet I am! Marketers wouldn’t steer us wrong!
So, just to test out this theory, I have comprised a little poll. Feel free to vote. Vote early, vote often! (If you choose “other”, you could leave a comment telling what otherness you’re up to!)
There. Wasn’t that fun?
And, moreover, are you suitably attired in pretty little tank top and underwear?
On a big, white, poofy comforter?
Because that’s HOW A LADY BEHAVES.
Mwah-ha.
I’m using a tablet, in my recliner, in my decidedly non sexy, but very comfy sweats.
Sounds cozy, just the right ensemble for a winter morning!
I actually am on a laptop in bed! I read blogs and drink my coffee when I wake up π
Elisabeth wins!!! So far… π
At a desktop in my sweats. In a hard uncomfortable chair.
I am indeed using a laptop, but I am hunched over like a little gnome on my wrongly-sized folding stool at my folding table, bundled up in my pyjamas and dressing gown (in the middle of the day! Scandalous). I apologise, dear marketers, but you’re not going to sell much with my image except maybe fluffy dressing gowns and cold & flu remedies!
Sorry. I’m wrapped in a towel, sitting at my desk and using my old crotchety PC. All of this to avoid writing a very important professional document I don’t want to do even though my job depends on it and I love my job!
I’m at my desk in my home office using an “old fashioned” floor model computer…though my monitor is a flat screen. I’m wearing plaid pj pants, a t-shirt, a hooded sweater and fuzzy socks. It’s too bloody cold for a tank top and underwear.
I’m at work, but yes, on a laptop. And my underwear is pretty.
I’m at work π¦ …. no laptop, no bed, no bonbons…..
Working from home today, because it’s very COLD and snowing. I am using my company-assigned laptop at my “workstation” (utilitarian desk with wire frame shelves and power strips, facing the kitchen window (squirrel!)), with arm-less office chair. In white T-shirt, pale blue drawstring pajama pants (printed with clouds and stars). “Retired” (laid-off, stay-at-home) husband is making me breakfast.
Normally I check your blog from work (same laptop, but nice desk, office chair), “office-casual” attire. π
I LOVE baths (although I usually soak in Epsom salts, not bubbliness), but listen to music (or occasionally NPR) and leave the laptop at the workstation when bathing. :p
I’m in my parked car, reading on my smartphone while I wolf down some lunch between a doctors appointment and the grocery shopping.
On my laptop at the kitchen table, with a cup of tea π
At work, on my laptop (in my mind I am at home, on the couch, in front of the fireplace……)
Ha! At work, decently clothed and using a plain ol’ computer. But I never aspired to be a lady anyway…
This one made me laugh. Heh.
On my laptop, sitting at the kitchen table, wearing a matronly “preschooler teacher” dress.
I am sitting in an uncomfortable chair, covered in an exceptionally fuzzy blanket, in my dorm room, on my laptop, and wearing oversized, baggy shorts and a t-shirt.
-though I do tend to do quite a bit of blog reading while lounging in bed!
Standing at the kitchen counter. Checking msgs on Android phone waiting for the phone to charge enough for it to work as an alarm clock. Time to go to bed but currently wearing a strange sweater that I think makes me look artsy…long denim skirt…black tights and crocs….yikes I’m starting to look like my mother….sigh….not cool.
Sitting in a living room chair, reading this on a laptop.
At a desk, using a desktop, with a toddler who’s trying to press the sleep button. We just put his older brother on the bus.
Sitting here at work using the desktop computer all bundled against the cold weather outside.
At a desk, on my iMac, dressed and ready for my shift at the bank later today. Son is at school! (Female, if that matters!)
Female and on a laptop with external monitor, wearing proper clothes. I work from home and cycle through blogs as a break activity. The only times I use my laptop in bed are when I’m sick but have an inflexible deadline or when I’m not at home and there is no good desk/table option.
It would kill my neck if I used the laptop in bed on a regular basis.
I’ve moved my computer into the sitting room because there’s a log fire in there. So I’m on the sofa, dog lying by my side, supposed to be working but actually catching up on blogs because I’ve been away for a few days.
