It’s Not All Mary Poppins

What a dirty trick!

It is! Truly rotten!

I probably shouldn’t be laughing so hard…

  1. I watched it more than once, hilarious! Their true nature revealed. I thought the last two were the best. Yes, that is right, give the lecture back to mum and oh so supportive of his brothers very close addition of 2+2.

  2. Hilarious. Mind you I found the last two kids giving their mum a lecture the best!!

  3. Having laughed throughout, it was the last child that seemed to sum up the reason they were so upset – evidently, they felt they had earned that candy. It wasn’t the same as eating something they’d received as a present, perhaps, but that injustice had been done?

Sadly, that seems to make it even funnier.

  5. Love, love, love your blog!! Your writing style is as much a pleasure to read as the content!

I’ve been lurking for a couple months now, and have a question for you.

When you interview parents and decide against them, do you tell them honestly why they didn’t make the cut? Or do you fib a bit?

I have a woman interested in part-time daycare (making an exception as I only take full-time)…and she seems to have no respect for my time. She says she’ll call back within a 1/2 hour and then doesn’t. Then calls late (after 9 p.m.) saying she was “super busy” and couldn’t get back to me.

This has all happened before my first day watching her child. I keep thinking, “MaryP would send this woman packing,” but how do you break it to her?

Sorry to seemingly hijack your post comments, but thought I’d better check in with THE daycarista before proceeding. Your advice will be gratefully appreciated!!

    Thanks in advance.

  6. Oh my, that was too funny. The best part is watching it click in their heads that all their candy is gone, and then the reaction hits.

  7. So cruel and so wrong! There will be kids on the therapist’s couch for years after this. But so funny!

  8. Hi. Just wondering if all is well. It’s been a few days since you’ve posted. I’m not being a crazy stalker, well, at least I don’t think I am, let me know about that.

  9. Awesome. I can’t believe I didn’t see this (or TRY this) eariler! Loved the last kids–reminded me a bit too much of my own! 😉 (No, I didn’t eat their candy but if I had? “Are you SERIOUS?” would have most certainly been his response!)
