Upcoming Event Reminder
Do you love to bury yourself in a book? Are you always on the lookout for suggestions, good titles, provocative reads? You’ve come to the right place! MaryP’s Book Binge is fast approaching. A month in which you read, log, and then post everything you read all through April.
On May 1, you’ll each post our lists on our blogs, and then everyone will know… that I read a LOT of schlock!
(And, to answer a couple of questions: yes, you can include books you re-read, so long as you re-read them in between April 1 and 30. Yes, you may also include books you start but don’t finish, just note the page at which you gave it up. Something like, “Quit, page 47 of 322″. Or, if you’re Addofio, “Quit, page 752 of 782.” No, you may not include books you read to your children - unless those books are at least 125 pages long.)

I would like to participate. I am having my second baby in April, and if it goes anything like the first, I read a LOT of books while breastfeeding 24/7.
Awww…shoot! (Actually, I had not considered listing the books I read to my kids but man, I’d have quite a list if we could!)

But I dont read books..I read blogs! I was just talking to my dad an hour ago about how children need to see adults reading to pick up good habits themselves but I read everything online including the newspaper! I havnt read a ‘good’ book in years, chick/pop ones with pink covers dont count do they? ok someone recommend a book that I really must read at least once in my lifetime!

jennyuk - Hey, don’t knock the trashy novels. I plan to gorge on them all month. *g* (As an aside, I spotted an university Law reference booklet with a baby pink cover. Baby pink. It looks like one of those “real-life erotic stories” Cosmo gives away for free every now and then. *lol*)
ooooh, yes please..nice way of seeing what I actually get through…though I’m not sure my eight month old will be ready for a big book yet…when is Harry Potter coming out :>
I am in for this, too! Though now you will see how I read mostly teens and kids and what little adult stuff I read is generally total crap!
